Thirteen of Lodi’s wineries (Bokisch, Dancing Coyote, d'Art, Durst, Estate Crush, Fields Family, Heritage Oak, m2 Wines, McCay Cellars, McConnell Estates, Riaza, St. Amant, Toasted Toad) are celebrating International Tempranillo Day the second weekend in November, from Friday, Nov. 10 to Sunday, Nov. 12. The “Lodi Tour of Tempranillo” is an event focused on tasting this red wine from a number of different producers in Lodi. As the Wine Enthusiast’s 2015 Wine Region of the Year, Lodi was recognized for our diversity and experimentation with wine grapes. Tempranillo is a red wine grape, originally from Spain, whose popularity is spreading among California wine drinkers. Try something new, discover Tempranillo! Visit any one of the participating wineries to collect a complimentary guidebook and begin your exploration of the Lodi Tour of Tempranillo. Each winery will have a different offering and many will offer special tastings only available at this event.
