Great Valley Bookfest

On Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014 more than fifty authors will share their skills, stories, and secrets at the third annual Great Valley Bookfest. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Orchard Valley Shopping Center (Hwy 120 at Union Rd. in Manteca. The free event features eight venues where authors will discuss their work and answer questions. Other activities include a self-publishing seminar, a writers? workshop, cooking demonstrations, and slam poetry performances. In addition to authors, the event features gourmet food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, live radio broadcasts, and book sales. Festivities begin with a costume parade; people of all ages are invited to arrive in costume and join the pageant.
