You know about the Panama Canal; but do you know about the "Golden Horse," the Panama Railroad built in 1851-55? Juan David Morgan has written a book, The Golden Horse: A Novel About Triumph and Tragedy Building the Panama Railroad. He will share the fascinating saga of the railroad that had so much impact upon early California. The program will start at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4, in the Julia Harrison Micke Memorial Building in Micke Grove Regional Park. The dinner preceding the program will be catered by Angelina's.
