1000 Internships, 6th Annual Job Fair, Clearsuites Open House & more!
Hello Everyone, we are rockin' and rollin' today as things are getting back to normal. We are winding down our vaccinations to member organizations small and large. We will have coordinated about 3,000 shots thanks to staff members Marina and Karen.
We have a new person coming in today to help us out with Farmers Market beginning Thursday, May 13th. I’ll introduce her to you in a future message. Tomorrow, the Multi-Cultural Committee is meeting face-to-face for the first time in about a year. The meeting will be at Clearsuites out at Kettleman Station. The meeting is at 4 PM, a very nice group of people who, at 5 PM will mix and mingle with more good business folks at the Clearsuites Open House, and you are invited as a Chamber Member. After not being able to make new connections for a year, it is open season! Wear a mask if you are more comfortable in it. I’ll be there because it is the place to be Tuesday the 28th ... it’s work, enjoyable work!

Cepheid, our rapidly expanding molecular diagnostic company, is growing by leaps and bounds. The Personnel Department has set up shop at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott in Reynolds Ranch and they are looking for entry-level machine operators, engineers, QC, supervisors, and many other positions, and they need them now! They have many employment needs, the company is growing exponentially, their pay scale is generous, and the mid to long-term opportunity for good people is outstanding.
Here is a great plan from Delta College. The program is 1,000 Internships made possible through Delta and the Board of Supervisors. It will provide an opportunity for 1,000 interns to receive on-the-job training and financial resources.
