CEO Corner - Leveraging Your Chamber Membership with our Business Tools Workshops
As a former small business owner, I know first-hand how lonely and challenging it can be to navigate the ups and downs of running a business. That’s why I’m so passionate about the Chamber’s mission to uplift our entire business community through workshops, referrals, resources, and providing a space where business owners can find emotional support from their peers.
At the Chamber, our goal isn’t just about providing you with tools – it’s about helping you build relationships. In today’s world, businesses that focus on fostering meaningful connections thrive, while those that are purely transactional often struggle.
Relationships Matter
Think about your favorite businesses. They don’t just sell products or services; they offer guidance and advice. As a business owner, establishing yourself as a trusted resource for your customers builds loyalty, creates champions for your brand, and sets you apart from the competition. You've already set yourself apart through your investment as a Chamber member, now leverage that by taking advantage of our Business Tools workshops.
I'm incredibly excited about our upcoming workshop series and the future of our Business Tools program. We’ve partnered with the City of Lodi, the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Visit Lodi, and some of our most successful members to bring invaluable resources to our business community.
Upcoming Workshop Series
Our partnerships have allowed us to craft three impactful workshops that are open to the entire Lodi business community, thanks to sponsorship by Valley Strong Credit Union. These workshops will help you position yourself as a valuable resource for your customers:
- Social Media Marketing - October 1st - It’s not just about posting content; it’s about connecting with your audience in a genuine and engaging way. This workshop will help you learn how to share your story, showcase your expertise, and be present where your customers are already spending their time.
- Branding - October 8th - Your brand is your promise to your customers. This workshop will help you articulate what makes your business unique and how to communicate that effectively so your customers feel they’re part of something bigger than just a transaction.
- Business Development Workshop - October 15th - Whether you’re looking to start a business, move into a brick-and-mortar location, or expand your current business, this workshop is for you. Come and talk with officials from the City of Lodi and the SBDC to understand the city’s licensing and permitting requirements, and gain insights into small business planning and financing support.
At the end of the day, business isn’t just about sales – it’s about relationships. It’s about showing up for your customers, being there when they need you, and providing them with the tools and insights to succeed. Join us at these workshops! These workshops are designed to help you and your customers solve problems and achieve your goals. Invite them to attend these workshops with you, and together, let’s create a thriving business community.
We also want to hear from you about the issues that are most critical to your business and industry. This way, we can create programs and workshops that benefit you and help you provide even greater value to your customers.
