Leadership Lodi Chooses the Village for their 2024 Service Project

Leadership Lodi Class of 2024 is proud to choose Village Adult Day & Community Center and their "Storage and Furniture Improvement Project" as its class project. The project will add much needed storage space and new furniture in The Village's "Community Center" located in downtown Lodi. The project will greatly impact the lives of the clients and families who depend on the Village to develop life skills and build relationships with one another through camaraderie with people who share a similar journey. The total fundraising goal for the project is $15,000. Examples of items to be purchased and installed include customized storage benches with cushions and storage tubs, a storage cabinet, and a fluid resistant sectional sofa.

About The Village Adult Developmental & Community Center.  The Village is founded on the belief that every person we serve should have a great day. We provide a respectful and caring environment with a range of enriching activities to build practical and physical skills and offer social interaction for intellectually and developmentally disabled (I/DD) people in our community. About Leadership Lodi. Since its beginning in 1990, Leadership Lodi has been designed to inspire and motivate Lodi area citizens to achieve higher levels of leadership responsibility. The ten-month program provides participants with the necessary information to understand the complexities of the Lodi community. In addition, the program will provide students with the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with current community leaders. Participants will discuss, explore, and learn about topics such as leadership dynamics, government, education, law, agribusiness, economic development, health, and the arts.
