Lodi’s Next Chapter Depends on You

Lodi’s Next Chapter Depends on You

Lodi’s Next Chapter Depends on You

Lodi is looking aggressively into its future through initiatives like the Downtown Specific Plan, a citywide Economic Development Plan, a Destination Master Plan, and Sports & Recreation Facility Market Analysis that are all happening simultaneously. These initiatives aim to reinvigorate our city, improve quality of life, and create long-term economic opportunity. However, none of them can succeed without the voices and commitment of Lodi residents to step forward to serve on local boards and commissions.

Serving on a board or commission isn’t just about attending meetings. It’s about advising our elected officials and supporting city staff in making the best decisions for our community. These bodies are where plans are implemented into action and where community input can drive lasting impact.

Lodi Needs You Right Now
Several boards and commissions currently have vacancies—and more terms are ending soon.

Other boards like the Library Board of Trustees, Lodi Arts Commission, and Parks & Recreation Commission have terms ending this month and will soon need new appointees to guide everything from public programs and capital improvements to art installations and library policy.

Coming Up: Strategic Planning for Lodi’s Economic Future
If you’re not ready to serve long-term but still want to be part of the conversation, mark your calendar for the Economic Development Strategic Planning Meeting on Monday, June 16th from 6:00–7:30 PM at 22 S. Main Street in Downtown Lodi. All residents and members of the local business community are encouraged to attend.

This meeting will be the public’s first opportunity to weigh in on the City’s new Economic Development Strategy for:
  • Attracting new businesses and investment
  • Creating local jobs
  • Expanding shopping and dining options
  • Enhancing parks and recreation
  • Building a vibrant, economically resilient downtown
We’ll also discuss related topics like infrastructure, housing, workforce development, and industry focus areas. Spanish interpretation will be available. You can register here: Sign Up to Attend

Chamber Committees: Local Leadership, Local Impact
In addition to city commissions, the Lodi District Chamber of Commerce offers a range of member-driven committees where local business leaders and professionals come together to shape the Chamber’s work and impact. Our Chamber committees focus on small business support, government relations, special events, and our local agricultural industry and are a great way to build relationships, stay informed, and directly influence the business climate and quality of life in Lodi. If you’re a Chamber member looking to get more involved, our committees are a powerful way to contribute your voice and leadership. Contact Sialei, our Business Development Director, for more information at membership@lodichamber.com.
