Sayla Music Academy, Valley Roots, Social Media Webinar, and more!

We had a special music presentation last week at the Farmers Market. Lodi’s premiere Music School,
Sayla Music Academy. Sayla is located at the corner of School & Locust Streets in the iconic old two-story house. I cannot do the musical magicians justice in describing what various moods they cast over their section of School Street. A crazy good electric guitar soloist, two great vocalists, one a dead-ringer of Nora Jones’s smokey sultry sound… this was some fine quality talent on display. All under the swaying trees in the cool delta breeze.

Sayla Owner, Chase Loeb, quite accomplished on the ivory keys, is amazing to watch as his fingers moved fast and effortlessly making the jazz very smooth. Other gifted teachers at Sayla put their talents on display for two hours! A free concert at the Farmers Market. Check out Sayla's website if you want to reconnect with an instrument from your youth or want to play just because it is a calling in your soul, if so you’re reading your opportunity. Check out teacher bios, listen to the teachers play, and tell you their approach to music. What a great community asset we have in Sayla, a unique growing business that is creating jobs and talents, young & old.

Or if you just want to listen and sip wine at Sayla’s in the outdoor event center, checkout their upcoming events especially the one in September, I may see you there!

Coming Soon… Valley Roots, fresh from their Big Winery Tour! Three guys who form a unique sound that is so-smooth. They take some fav cover songs and twist those tunes to make a Reggae vibe that is way cool. They define their genre as “Feel Good Music.” And it does. This band jams like you might not have experienced. Mark your calendar on Thursday, August 19th to be swinging and swaying to Valley Roots, be there when the breeze comes to School Street & Farmers Market.

I took this week to get mellow with our Lodi music scene. Next week it’s back to work fighting Job Killer legislation and some other things buzzing in our town. Rock On!
