Things to Celebrate, Farmers Market, NEW Lodi Outdoor Market & more!
Well, good things are happening all around town; I’ll itemize a few things so you will be in the know and maybe take advantage of some new changes and also some “getting back to normalcy.”
- You can go back to church now and not feel like you are going to upset the governor.
- You can eat inside any restaurant you want these days OR outside in their parking lot or in the street. The “in-street dining is permitted to 12/31/21! Merry Christmas.
- Cepheid is expanding A LOT. If you remember where on Guild Avenue the twin buildings that were the old Blue Shield Call Centers, which housed 600 operators… You’ll say where did they go? Going up in their place is a very large three-story manufacturing and office building, one of four Cepheid is expanding into.
- If you are having Lodi Street Faire withdrawals from the cancellation of the May Street Faire, you can get some surefire relief from our friends at the Grape Festival Grounds. This Saturday, they are producing the Lodi Outdoor Market with 75 Craft Vendors outdoors on the Fair Grounds. It opens at 10 am, runs til 4 pm. Parking & admission are FREE! We wish Mark, Brandy, & Kaitlin much success. Watch for their future Markets on May 15th and June 5th. Mask-up & go.
- And the Downtown Lodi Certified Farmers Market is back and is opening on Thursday, May 13th. Bring your mask and come on down as your favorite farmers are all returning, also favorites like Lockeford Sausage, Moveable Feast, and new “food-to-go vendors” you’ll want to try. Pick some up and head to your favorite tasting room inside or out in the street. Or help our local restaurants either indoors or enjoy a beautiful outside experience in their street seats.
- Yesterday Lodi Chamber coordinated another 100 vaccinations for Constellation Brands at their facility. With that one under our belt, all we have left is the second round of shots… just another 1,500.
