Community Shred and e-Waste Day

On Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 9:30 – 2 PM, Premier Community Credit Union along with San Joaquin Regional Conservation Corps (Greater Valley Conservation Corps as of July 1) and Rapid Information Destruction Services will offer residents the opportunity to have their paper records shredded and recycled during the Community Shred and e-Waste Day. EWaste is collected and taken to a secure destruction facility. This free event aims to raise public awareness of the need to securely destroy confidential material in order to prevent identify theft and fraud, as well as to encourage people to recycle more. The event will be held at the A&W in Lodi, CA, located at 216 E Lodi Ave, Lodi, CA 95240. Donors may enter the A&W parking lot on E. Lodi Avenue, drop-off their shred/eWaste at the truck, then exit to the right into the alley onto S. Stockton Street. Attendants will be there to direct you and pick up your shred and e-waste. Just drive through, pop the trunk or open the door and we will unload your items for you. For this event, the limit is no more than 25 office file boxes at a time or similar amount. We are pleased to have A&W Lodi host the event, Rapid Information Destruction Services provide shredding and paper collection, and San Joaquin Regional Conservation Corps provide eWaste collection. We will accept: small items such computer, monitors, and printers, PDAs, digital cameras, zip drives, telephones, cell phones, printers, copiers, laser and multifunction scanners and fax machines. We cannot accept: Large Household Appliances (i.e. refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc.)Furniture, Hazardous Household Waste including batteries, car batteries, paint, pesticides, used oil, cleaning supplies, fluorescent light bulbs, water heaters, tires, vacuums, etc.
