Community Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CCBVI) hosts the fourth annual White Cane Safety/Blind Americans Equality Day on Monday, October 15, 2018, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at CCBVI, 2453 Grand Canal Boulevard, Suite 5, Stockton. Celebrate the immeasurable contributions that our citizens who use white canes have made as valued members of our community and recognize the movement of people who are blind or visually impaired from dependency to full participation in society.
Learn about the programs and services CCBVI offers, obtain information about other community services (Braille and Talking Book Library, California Council of the Blind, California Department of Rehabilitation, Disability Resource Agency for Independent Living, National Federation of the Blind San Joaquin Chapter, San Joaquin Delta College Disabled Student Programs and Services, San Joaquin Regional Transit District Mobility, University of the Pacific Office of Services for Students with Disabilities, and more), enjoy light refreshments, and join clients and staff at 1:00 p.m. for a stroll through Venetian Bridges.
