CASA Superhero Run

We, The Child Abuse Prevention Council are excited to announce our 2nd Annual CASA Superhero Run at Lodi Lake (formally known as General Mills Trix Run). 5k & Kids Dash Everyone receives a superhero cape & bag filled with goodies! Register: http://www.active.com/lodi-ca/running/distance-running-races/superhero-run-2016 Child Abuse Prevention Council works diligently to strengthen families and protect the children of the San Joaquin County. The CASA Superhero Run helps raise awareness, bring in potential CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteers so we can serve more foster children and most importantly helps us keep the CASA program in the San Joaquin County. The CAPC’s CASA program designated by the San Joaquin County Superior Court to recruit, train and supervise CASA volunteers. CASAs act as fact-finders for judges, providing them with information gathered from Court documents, social workers’ files, and educational, medical, and therapy records. CASA of San Joaquin County provides local foster children with the caring support of a CASA volunteer. There are many more children who still need a CASA on their behalf, in the courtroom, classroom, and community to ensure their needs are met.
