October Featured Artist: Marilyn Eger Discover the vibrant work of Marilyn Eger, a plein air painter inspired by the landscapes, objects, and everyday scenes around her. Her featured artist show is open October 2–November 1, 2026, with a special reception on Saturday, October 10. Show Reception Saturday, October 10, 2026 1:30–3:30 p.m. Marilyn primarily paints en plein air, working outdoors to capture her surroundings firsthand. When painting outdoors isn’t possible, she uses her own photographs as a starting point. Her favorite subjects include Acampo landscapes, old tractors and cars, curious cattle, garden flowers, and colorful reflections—especially those found in bottles. Working primarily in oil, pastel, and acrylic, Marilyn brings a passion for vibrant color to her art. She describes the painting process as similar to sculpting, gradually chiseling out an image as though working with stone. Explore Marilyn Eger’s colorful interpretations of the local landscape and everyday life during this featured exhibition.
